Stephan Durach
Senior Vice President Connected Company, Development Technical Operations
After graduating in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Stephan Durach joined BMW Group in Munich in 1998. He started his career in software processes and methods and ran through various departments in the electronics division. In 2008 he became Head of Technology Office Palo Alto/Mountain View in the USA.
Back at the BMW headquarter in 2011, he took over the department for Entertainment, Mobile Devices and App Centers before leading the electronics in the product line for luxury class BMW. He joined the purchasing and supplier network division in 2015, leading the purchasing for information and communications electronics and ConnectedDrive. In 2015 he extended his responsibility to the complete electric/electronic portfolio with the BMW Group.
From April 2017 to September 2020, Durach was Senior Vice President Purchasing and Supplier Network Digital at BMW Group. Since October 2020, he’s been back in the development department as the Senior Vice President Connected Company, Development Technical Operations.

Lidia Fonseca
Chief Digital and Technology Officer, Executive Vice President
Lidia Fonseca is responsible for enterprise-wide digital, data, and technology strategy and solutions to support the purpose of delivering breakthroughs that change patients’ lives. She also leads Learning and Development and Business Process Excellence. In her prior role, Lidia was CIO at Quest Diagnostics, the world’s leading provider of diagnostic information services.
Throughout her career, Lidia has received numerous awards and accolades, including the 2023 National CIO of the Year ORBIE Award and the 2022 New York CIO of the Year ORBIE Award. She was named on the 2022 Forbes CEO Next List recognizing top 50 executives who are likely to lead some of America’s top companies and the 2022 Forbes CIO Next List recognizing the top 50 tech leaders who are redefining the CIO role and driving game-changing innovation. She was named on the list of the 50 Most Powerful Latinas in 2020, 2021, and 2022 by the Association of Latino Professionals for America. In 2022, Pfizer won multiple awards in digital manufacturing including Gartner’s Supply Chain Breakthrough of the Year Award.
She earned a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA and master business informatics from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus Graduate school of Business.

Founder and CEO
Simon Anderson leads Mission Cloud, a top US-based cloud service provider, consulting company, and AWS Premier Services Partner. Simon founded Mission Cloud in 2017, after 15 years as an executive and entrepreneur in the web hosting and infrastructure software industries.
Simon was named Entrepreneur of the Year Greater Los Angeles by EY in 2022, an award that celebrated his success in scaling Mission Cloud for hypergrowth and building a diverse and inclusive team of more than 300 people. Goldman Sachs recognized Simon as one of the Most Exceptional Entrepreneurs of 2022 at its Builders and Innovators Summit. Before founding Mission Cloud, he was CEO of DreamHost, and the cofounder of software-defined storage company Inktank, which Red Hat acquired for $175M in 2014.

Jason Bonci

Jason Bonci is responsible for driving the adoption, resilience, and strategic technical vision of the enterprise IT portfolio for the US Airforce. Prior to this role, he was the Senior Director of Public Sector Engineering at Akamai Technologies in Cambridge, MA. At Akamai, he led a team of 60 engineering, operations, and consulting professionals in designing and operating the company’s public sector portfolio. This included being the technology provider behind the Department of Defense’s Global Content Delivery Service program that powered delivery, security, and optimizations for over 2,000 capabilities. Under his architectural guidance, this service became part of the technical underpinning of the DoD’s internet access delivery system, the Air Force enterprise cloud program (Cloud One), and the Army’s identity and credential access management system.

For the past 12 years, Denise has held sales leadership roles of increasing responsibility while giving back and mentoring future women leaders and top talent. Thomas Lucas
Cofounder
Thomas Lucas is a cofounder of MagellanTV, a global streaming venture specializing in high-end documentary films and series. Lucas is a documentary filmmaker with over 50 major films to his credit, covering topics ranging from wilderness fire to hammerhead sharks and long distance space travel. His recent productions include the globally distributed giant-screen programs: Atlas of a Changing Earth, Birth of Planet Earth, Faster Than Light, Supervolcanoes, Dynamic Earth, and Black Holes: The Other Side of Infinity. Arno Van der Walt is the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer at Marriott International, and leads Global Information Security for the company. Arno is based in Bethesda, Maryland and started his career with Marriott in January 2018. Prior to his appointment at Marriott International, Arno was the CISO at Wyndham Worldwide. Arno holds a bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Pretoria in South Africa.

Dr. Rebecca Portnoff
Head of Data Science
Dr. Rebecca Portnoff has dedicated her career to building tools and techniques to seek out and help child victims of sexual abuse. She is currently Head of Data Science at Thorn, where she owns strategy and vision for data science across the organization. She works cross-functionally with business and technical functions to develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning/artificial intelligence (ML/AI) and algorithms to: accelerate victim identification, stop revictimization (via the removal of child sexual abuse material from the open web), and prevent abuse from occurring. She leads Thorn’s engagement with ML/AI as a field, including emerging threats and emerging technologies.
Rebecca brings with her over a decade of experience in scientific research, machine learning and analytics, as well as several years as a trauma-informed people leader. She has experience in scaling teams, culture, and mission impact in a fast-paced, tech startup setting. As a technology leader, her product portfolio consists of mission-driven ML/AI. She holds a B.S.E. in computer science from Princeton University, where she also minored in vocal jazz, and a PhD in computer science from UC Berkeley.

She holds a bachelor's degree in global business financial management and a master's degree in science and technology policy, both from Arizona State University.
